Meetup is the world’s largest network of local groups. Meetup’s mission is to revitalize local community and help people around the world self-organize. Meetup believes that people can change their personal world, or the whole world, by organizing themselves into groups that are powerful enough to make a difference.
I organize several Meetup groups in order to make the esoteric and energetic arts more accessible, while at the same time providing resources for people with specific interests to find others who share their knowledge and curiosity. The Meetup groups I facilitate offer free or very low-cost meetings as a way of introducing esoteric and energetic philosophies to the broader community.
Denver Tarot Meetup Group
The Denver Tarot Meetup is an open community dedicated to the practice of tarot. It provides safe and encouraging place for new and experienced readers to come and read for each other and present on all things tarot. There’s so much information and different opinions out there that you’ll never be bored.
We host a variety of events each month. On weekends we offer our Tarot Socials. These events are great for newcomers & beginners–we share our decks, do readings, and discuss thoughts & questions about tarot in an open format. So come by even if you don’t own a deck, or bring a friend who’s new to tarot.
We also host learning meetups with talented tarot instructors. Throughout its history, Denver Tarot Meetup has hosted the best and brightest tarot readers and experts from the Denver metro area and beyond, and given people curious about tarot or eager to learn the perfect opportunity to mingle, meet new tarot friends, explore and celebrate this special tool in their lives.
In addition, special events including classes, talks, and parties, are scheduled throughout the year, providing an array of options for education, inspiration, and socialization.
Denver Tarot Geeks
Denver Tarot Geeks is an advanced group of tarot readers dedicated to the study of the esoteric and historical aspects of tarot and the application of this knowledge for personal and spiritual growth.
We explore the relationship between tarot and qabalah, astrology, numerology, alchemy, mythology, magic, and other philosophies that were prevalent during the time the cards originated in fifteenth century Europe and which subsequently influenced the development of the esoteric tarot deck in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
Our meetings consist of sharing knowledge through presentations and discussions; gaining insight through readings, meditation and exercises; and practicing methods for applying what we learn to our lives.
This group is designed for people who, like me, find intense and challenging studying to be fun! Come to share your knowledge and learn from others. In order to get the most out of the advanced techniques presented in this group, it is highly recommended that members have at least a basic knowledge of tarot prior to joining this group.
Not an advanced reader? Check out the Denver Tarot Meetup. It’s for readers of all levels and the tarot curious and meets monthly.
Denver Traditional Reiki Meetup
The Denver Traditional Reiki Meetup is an opportunity for you to experience the beauty that is Reiki, in a hands-on fashion.
Everyone is invited to Reiki Shares, where we experience hands-on healing through connecting to Spirit. If you are new to Reiki, please come to ask questions and receive a short session. If you are a Reiki Practitioner, please come to share your gift and exchange sessions with other practitioners.
The Denver Traditional Reiki Meetup is dedicated to practicing Reiki from a traditional Japanese perspective. We seek to find simplicity in our practice and recognize that all techniques are simply rituals to give us footing as we continually open ourselves to Spirit. We embrace healing as a side-effect of being one with the Source of Life, and to that end seek to connect to our true nature where we start on our path of enlightenment.
If you want to know more about Traditional Japanese Reiki, if you are looking for healing, or if you want to join with others in community, you are welcome!
